It is that time of year again. in order to save yourself money on your utilities its time to get your air conditioning system serviced and cleaned which includes the following:
1. Clean condenser and check for coil damage. Dirt, Grass or any foreign material on the condenser reduces the ability for heat to transfer so the unit has to run longer and costs you money.
2. Check all operating pressures of the refrigerant. Improper refrigerant charge can damage the compressor or lower the efficiency of the system and cause a higher electric bill
3. Test compressor and motors for voltage and amperage draws. This extends the life of your compressor and major electrical components of your system.
4. Test all safety features. This is essential for proper equipment operation and insures that your system will shut down if there is ever a problem.

I wanted to get back out to everyone and bring up this subject again as spring and summer are just around the corner. As you fire up your air conditioning units and start to use them again you may notice that the air is not as cold as it used to be.
