Got Alergies?

Drake Mechanical can help with those alergies.  We are now bringing you a HEPA filtration system in Caldwell that is designed for a home.  If you are suffering from alergies and they are worse when you are at home you might be a perfect candidate for HEPA filtration.  HEPA stands for "high efficiency particulate air filter".

Understanding Air Pollution In Your Home

Air pollution can be separated into 3 different categories of pollution.  The first is particulate pollution.  Air pollutants that have mass such as pollen, dust, pet dander, cigarette smoke and candle smoke  fall under the particulates category.  The second category of air pollution is called bioburden.  This is biological matter that is either living or dead such as viruses, bacteria, mold spores and fungi.  These contaminants can cause allergy symptoms to worsen or spread disease.  The 3rd category of pollutant is V.O.C.'s.  VOC stands for volatile organic compounds.  These are gasses that come off of paints, perfumes, plastic, furniture and carpets to name a few.  What can you do about all of these pollutants found in your home?  Beam's HEPA air filtration products employ simple technology to help you remove a huge portion of these chemicals from your home.

What is a HEPA filter and how does it work?

HEPA or otherwise known as "High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance" is a standard created by the US atomic energy commission.  This standard requires the air that is filtered to have 99.97% of the particulates in the air that are .3 micron in size and larger to be removed before it is classified as true HEPA air.  A micron to give you an idea is 300 times smaller that the thickness of one human hair.  Beam HEPA filtration systems in Boise include HEPA filter media that is a 3 stage filtration process.  The 1st stage is the pre-filter, this filters out the large particulates and captures some VOC's.  The second stage is the HEPA filter, this filters out the bioburden, particulates and captures some VOC's.  The 3rd stage of the Beam HEPA filtration unit is the inner carbon filter which captures V.O.C's and smells.
