The Drake family has been taking care of your plumbing, heating and air conditioning needs in the Treasure Valley since 1909.  Drake Mechanical is the only five generation plumbing, heating and air conditioning company in the Treasure Valley and is still family owned and operated.  Drake Mechanical has been serving the Treasure Valley from plumbing in Boise, to heating  and  furnace work in Meridian,wet side cooling and air conditioning work in Eagle, boilers in Nampa, to drain cleaning and new plumbing fixtures in Caldwell and beyond.  One owner of Drake Mechanical is Rick Drake who began his plumbing career under the careful instruction of his father and grandfather, Rick Drake runs Drake Mechanical with his sister Judy Chivers and have benefited from their father’s vast knowledge of the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning trades. They continue to adhere to the traditional values of honesty and integrity set forth by past generations.

Prior to taking care of plumbing, heating and air conditioning the Drake Family came to Boise in the mid 1800's and were a major part of home steading the Treasure Valley and Idaho City.  In 1909 they started Drake and Sons Plumbing and Heating, and in 1978 Dick Drake and Rick Drake Branched off from Drake Plumbing and started Drake Mechanical which has become the number one plumbing, heating and air conditioning service and installation shop in the Treasure Valley, Drake Mechanical is built on trust, integrity, quality service and our reputation for making sure that you-the customer is taken care of from start to finish and are completely satisfied.

The Drake family has created a loyal customer base with their quality products and quality work ethic – the backbone of the business. We currently employ certified journeyman and apprentices and hand-select each employee according to their skill level, dependability, professionalism and, most importantly, their integrity.

Generation after generation, The Drake’s have been serving all of the Treasure Valley since 1909. 4th and 5th generations Rick, his sister Judy and Rick’s son Nick are all hard at work in the families plumbing, heating and air conditioning business to ensure that you receive the same personal care and attention that Drake Mechanical has come to be known for.

Meet the Office Team

Nick Drake, President / New Commercial Project Manager / Estimator / New Business Development
Rick’s son Nick has jumped into the family business with both feet. Nick started working for his dad at the age of 10 and has continued to work at Drake Mechanical ever since.  From starting with washing trucks and cleaning the shop to becoming a laborer and then going on to start plumbing school after graduation from Borah high school he has gotten to learn the plumbing, heating and air conditioning business from the ground up.  Nick Received his Journeyman Plumbing license in 2001, received his Plumbing Contractors license with the state of Idaho in 2005, Contractors license in the State of North Dakota in 2011, and currently runs the new construction and remodel side of the business from Estimating to Project Management.    Nick has since taken on handling the marketing and business development as well along with overseeing a lot of the day by day operation of the business.

Rebecca Drake, Director of Sales and Marketing
Mrs. Drake is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Drake Mechanical. Her role is a vital part of keeping the business running as well as ensuring the sales funnel of the company functions smoothly.

She is actively involved in developing the future plans of the business so that it can continue serving the Treasure Valley for decades to come. 

Fred Roberts, Vice President / New Commercial Project Manager / HVAC Estimator  
Fred has been involved in the dry side HVAC business for 34 years. He started as a shop hand when he was a teenager, worked his way through a 4 year apprenticeship program to become a skilled sheet metal journeyman, a field foreman, shop foreman and spent 12 years as a sheet metal apprentice instructor. He then moved on to become an estimator & project manager, estimating and managing HVAC projects both public & private up to 2 million. Fred has now joined the team of experts at Drake Mechanical to help sell and manage a wide range of projects with his emphasis on sheet metal & dry side HVAC projects.

Jerry Roberts, Service Manager
Jerry is a great asset to our team.  He brings over 15+ years of experience and has a vast knowledge in sheet metal and fabricated duct work.  Jerry is our Service Manager and is very involved in the day to day operations with all our Service Technicians.  Jerry is also involved in our commercial sales team with his background of running and managing large commercial projects. 

Alana Braden, Dispatcher/Assistance Office Manager
Alana, comes to us with almost 10 years of experience in customer service, dispatching and accounts receivable. She has been such a huge asset to our team and works extremely hard and closed with our customers and technicians on a daily base. She takes on any project that is thrown her way and puts everything into it. She does an amazing job at juggling the daily tasks that are thrown her way and does it with a smile. Alana makes sure that our customers are taken care with a smile and friendly voice of and our technicians are where they need to be.
